PLACES TO STAY, DINING AND THINGS TO DO IN BOSTON

Places to stay...

ONE WORD--TENTS!!! Just kidding. Boston is full of places to stay in a fairly wide price range.

Hyatt Regency--This is the hotel in which the wedding and reception will be taking place. July 14-16th, 10 rooms will be blocked off at a rate of $159 a night plus tax. Reservations must be made by May 14th, 2007. Ask for the Tahiliani/Neiswender wedding block when booking.

Days Hotel Boston--Great hotel very close to the wedding and reception. Here there will be 20 rooms blocked off from July 13-16th at a rate of $139 a night plus tax. Again, ask for the Tahiliani/Neiswender wedding block.

Hotel at MIT--Another great hotel in the vicinity of the wedding and reception site. This is a place for the techies and engineers. So you and your Blackberry will feel right at home. Don't forget the peripherals! The rooms are blocked off for the nights of July 14th and 15th. The rate is for $169 a night. Again, ask for the Tahiliani/Neiswender Wedding rooms.

Places to dine...

Bombay Club--Can't get enough reception food? Want a preview of what you will eat at the reception? Always regarded as the best Indian food in town.

Atasca--Portugese. Can't get enough salt cod? I know I can't. Vegetarians better stay away. This is a place for us carnivores.

Ernesto's--Real Italian pizza located in the heart of Boston's historic North End. Rated "Best in Boston 2006".

Jasper White's Summer Shack--New England fare. Very child friendly place to get your seafood fix. As they say in Boston..."Try the wicked, lob-STAH!"

Things to do...

Besides seeing the greatest wedding ever, the Boston area has a lot of things you can do with your free time while in town:

New England Aquarium-This a great place to see aquatic life from all around the world as well as native New England species. This is also the place where you can take a charter boat out for whale watching. (Not recommended for those who aren't sea dogs).

Freedom Trail-This is the best way to see Boston I think. You start in the beautiful Boston Common and follow a red brick path through Boston and through history. Along the way you see such notable sites as Bunker Hill, Faneuil Hall, USS Constitution and much more. Plan about 3 hours of walking. Eat in the North End (Italian section) while traveling.

Sam Adams Brewery-Close to Brinda's house is the Sam Adams Brewery. The brewery gives several tours of the facility with free beer samples at the end. I can't wait until I'm old enough.

Doyle's Cafe-John's second home! Come here for the best beer and food in all of Boston. This is the best place to people watch too. Many celebrities as well as former and current mayors dine and drink here. Very family friendly.

Charles River-The "Dirty Water" as it is lovingly referred to here. Actually, it is much cleaner than it was several years ago. A beautiful place to walk. You can even catch a concert at the Haf Shell.

Museum of Science-This is a great place for kids and adults alike. Very interactive. Amazing displays. Plan on several hours.

Museum of Fine Arts-John thinks that "Monet" is something you buy things with. Please go here and tell him what it really is.
